From your private, personally decorated bedroom to the cozy living room to our home-cooked meals, both homes offer an open, friendly atmosphere. Services are billed in packages and are computed based on the types of services needed and the frequency at which they are delivered. The above are services available to each resident.

Activities & Events

Both Valentines and Loving Residence offer an array of activities and events. We give thanks and celebrate each new day. No holiday ever goes forgotten! Birthdays are always a cause for celebration. Our Activity Coordinators are involved with the planning and preparation for each event. Their involvement helps to ensure that the residents suggestions and concerns are addressed.

Both Valentines and Loving Residence have available a variety of activities and events. Management and staff are involved with preparation and planning and can assist you with any special event you want to celebrate.

Because of the small intimate setting at Valentines and Loving Residence, we are able to easily adjust to likes and dislikes of our residents. Our activities are resident driven, to ensure their involvement and enjoyment.

About Us

Andrea

Korsten

Andrea has worked at Valentines and Loving Residence for 22 years. She started her career out as a CNA working at Loving Residence. She furthered her education and obtained her Bachelors Degree as a Registered Nurse.

Andrea was born and raised in Red Wing and has four children. As Andrea’s children grew up, they played a large part in volunteering between the two facilities and later being employed by the facilities. Andrea strives to achieve the reputation that Valentines and Loving Residence have always had; to make the facilities as home like and comfortable as possible! She takes great pride in the businesses, and she is looking forward to what the future has in store for her facilities. Her daughter, April Gernentz works alongside her to help manage and operate both facilities.

April has a bachelor's degree in business. She is a Licensed Practical Nurse and most recently has become an Assisted Living Director. She started out at Valentines volunteering, then becoming a CNA and continuing on with her college degrees that led her into the position she has now at Valentines and Loving Residence.
